The United Kingdom’s departure from the European Union creates opportunities for the UK to independently deepen its ties with nations around the world.
An emerging topic of discussion has been the establishment of a “CANZUK” alliance between Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the UK. CANZUK proposals include facilitated migration, education, free trade and foreign policy coordination.
To encourage debate on this innovative policy initiative, Canadian Conservatives Abroad will sponsor a policy event featuring UK Conservative MP Andrew Rosindell, Canadian Conservative MP Ed Fast, Australian Senator Amanda Stoker, and the Honorary President of the Canadian Conservatives Abroad, John Baird. The event will run concurrent with the Conservative Party of Canada’s upcoming convention. The event will be moderated by Shuvaloy Majumdar, Proggram Director and Munk Senior Fellow for Foreign Policy at the Macdonald-Laurier Institute.
